Cancellation Policy

CONFERENCE CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT

The organiser may cancel or postpone the Conference or exhibition or complete event due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to Acts of God, terrorism, war, strikes or industrial action, fire, explosion, inevitable accident, breakdown of property, changes in law, pandemics, or global health crises. Due to the nature of the event, it may be reasonable to postpone the event to a later year and/or to change the location for the Conference.

If the Conference or exhibition can not proceed as planned and is moved to a virtual format, your registration will be transferred to a virtual registration. If you choose not to attend the virtual Conference, the organiser will not be required to refund any part of the Conference registration fee.

In the event of postponement of the Conference, if, when requested, you advise that are willing to attend the rescheduled Conference, the organiser will transfer the registration and guarantee the same conditions and equivalent registration entitlements (subject to reasonable modification and availability) at the rescheduled event. If, at a later date, you then choose not to attend the rescheduled Conference, the organizer will not be required to refund any part of the Conference registration fee.

In the event of a full cancellation of the Conference by the organiser, you will be entitled to a full refund of the amount of the Conference registration fee received.

The maximum liability of the organiser under these Terms and Conditions is limited to a refund of the Conference registration fee with no additional liability for travel costs, hotel costs, visa cost or any other associated costs.

Please note no refund or discount will be made if an inclusive function or event within the registration fee is not taken up or is subsequently canceled.

DELEGATE CANCELLATION – MEDICAL

The health and safety of conference attendees is our highest priority. The organiser is mindful of the health risks posed by COVID-19, and the importance of following official medical advice with respect to social distancing, practicing good hygiene and staying at home when unwell. The organiser requests that any delegate who is feeling unwell or has cold or flu like symptoms, or who may have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, not attend the conference.

If, on medical grounds, you are unable to attend the conference, you must cancel your attendance in writing by email to admin@gdecevents.com A full refund will be provided in this instance; however, you may be asked to provide additional details with documents.

CANCELLATION & SUBSTITUTION POLICY

If you are unable to attend the conference, we welcome substitute delegates attending in your place at no extra cost provided that we have at least 2 weeks prior notice of the name of your proposed substitute and have received payment in Full.

  • • 1st April - 31st May - 100% refund
  • • 1st June – 30th June - 50% refund
  • • After 1st July - no refund

The bank charges incurred while refunding the registration fee should be totally borne by the participants. The discounted registration fees are non-refundable. The fees will automatically be transferred to one of the future GDEC Conferences. No refunds will be processed for cancellation. Organisers cannot be held responsible for clarity errors.

PROGRAM ALTERATIONS

All best endeavours will be made to present the program as published on the conference website. The Conference Organisers reserve the right to alter, without prior notice, any of the arrangements, timetables, plans or other items relating to the conference for any cause beyond its reasonable control. The Conference Organisers are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused because of such alteration.
